Kennedy Agyapong Advocates for “Asia Miracle” Economic Approach to Propel Ghana’s Development
Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central and a presidential hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has put forward an innovative vision inspired by the success of Asian economies. He believes that adopting the “Asia Miracle” approach can revolutionize Ghana’s economic development and create opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators.
Agyapong emphasized the need for diligent execution of this vision to avoid wasteful spending and mismanagement. He made these remarks during a donation ceremony where he presented a Nissan Navara pickup truck to the national leadership of the NPP. The donation aims to support the party’s campaign efforts for the upcoming Kumawu parliamentary by-election, scheduled for May 23, 2023.
The Asia Miracle approach, as explained by Agyapong, focuses on assisting serious businesspeople with funding to expand their operations and create employment opportunities. In addition to his economic approach, Agyapong highlighted the significance of empowering the youth and women of Ghana. He expressed his commitment to creating a level playing field and fair competition, while also focusing on sectors such as tourism, agro-processing, and Information Technology (IT) to drive employment and propel the country’s growth.
